Usage

KahootGPT is designed to make playing Kahoot games easier and more enjoyable for everyone. The extension can generate the four best possible answers for each question, making it easier for players to choose the right answer. Alternatively, KahootGPT can highlight the best fitting answer, helping players focus on the most accurate choice.

Moreover, KahootGPT can import questions from Kahoot page itself (assuming the host allows players to view the questions and possible answers), allowing players to use the extension with any Kahoot game. KahootGPT will generate four best possible answers or highlight the most correct one according to OpenAI's language model.

In addition to generating the best answers, KahootGPT can also auto-tap the correct answer for players. This feature is particularly useful for players who want to take a more passive role in the game, or for those who are struggling to keep up with the pace of the questions.

Installation

Chrome Web Store

  1. Open Google Chrome and go to the KahootGPT extension page.
  2. Click the "Add to Chrome" button.
  3. In the confirmation dialog, click "Add Extension".
  4. The KahootGPT extension should now be installed in your Chrome browser.

Firefox Add-on

  1. Open Mozilla Firefox and go to the KahootGPT add-on page.
  2. Click the "Add to Firefox" button.
  3. In the confirmation dialog, click "Add".
  4. The KahootGPT add-on should now be installed in your Firefox browser.

Creating an OpenAI account

  1. Go to the OpenAI website and click on the "Sign up" button in the top right corner of the page.
  2. Enter your email address, create a password, and click on "Sign up".
  3. You will receive an email to verify your account. Click on the verification link in the email.

Generating an API key

  1. Once you verify your account, you head over to the OpenAI dashboard.
  2. From the OpenAI dashboard, click on the "API keys" tab in the left-hand menu.
  3. Click on the "Create new API key" button.
  4. Enter a name for your API key and click on "Create".
  5. Your API key will be displayed on the screen. Make sure to copy it and keep it in a safe place. (It will only be shown to you once)

Using your API key

  1. Make sure to copy the API key to your clipboard.

  2. Open the KahootGPT extension and click the top right gear icon.

  3. Paste the API key into the text field and press "Save Changes".
